Westfield, United States Manager, Reed Institute Technical Training

Scope of Position:

Coordinates the development of all training materials including: training manuals and presentations, PowerPoint presentations, hands-on labs maintenance and display materials, etc. Conduct actual training presentations for both applications and hands-on technical purposes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish schedules for training courses both at the Reed Institute and external venues
  • Coordinate training programs and schedules to meet the needs of the Sales Managers and manufacturer representative organizations
  • Work with the Business Unit personnel in identifying the most important areas of training concentration
  • Develop support material to obtain sales and training objectives
  • Uses the Reed Institute’s activities as a forum with customers in order to provide input for company product development work
  • Videotape training videos for use on social media and Mestek’s internal Sales Assistant platform
  • Maintain both the equipment and the overall appearance of the Reed Institute facility
  • Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested

 

Position Requirements:

The Manager - Reed Institute must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in a training/coordinating environment in Hydronics or general HVAC gas-fired equipment
  • Have great organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and video production

Technical Resources Representative – Westfield, MA

The Technical Resources Representative assists customers with installation; start-up and troubleshooting supporting a wide range of HVAC related product lines.  Working with the rest of the Technical Resources team, the representative is responsible for supporting customers by handling an inflow of incoming communications via phone and email. 

This position requires a high level customer, employee interaction and occasional travel; the ideal candidate possesses adequate technical acumen in HVAC, and the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

Essential criteria for joining our team are:

*Heating & cooling equipment experience with a passion for exceeding customer expectations

*Strong written and verbal skills; excellent phone manner

*Ability to provide solutions to sometimes unique problems, and thrive in challenging situations

Additional duties & responsibilities:

*HVAC technical background

*Excellent customer support with attention to detail

*Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot and repair equipment via phone/email

*Ability to travel to jobsites to offer onsite technical assistance

*Assist with product trainings for both internal and external personnel

*Work with organization providing product feedback for possible improvements
