Scope of Position:  Working under the general direction of the Engineering Manager, performs a wide variety of duties associated with providing technical support for end users, contractors, sales representatives and internal account managers.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance regarding proper application, selection of options/accessories, proper installation and servicing of all Dallas based products.
  • Perform field installation and service for all Dallas based products.
  • Provide service and maintenance training for all Dallas based products.
  • Provide technical guidance in selecting replacement parts for field service,
  • Provide price quotes for parts and services.
  • Provide technical guidance in all phases of Adaptaire DDC control system operation and installation.
  • Provide input regarding product improvement.
  • Track warranty and non-warranty component failures.
  • Review and update Installation Operation and Maintenance manuals.

 Position Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum field service experience on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
  • 3 years minimum experience working with DDC control systems.
  • Automated Logic control experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in refrigerant compressorized products.
  • Stronger background in gas fired products.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Westfield, United States Bill of Materials Coordinator

Name of Position:              Bill of Materials (BOM) Coordinator

Reports to:                        Engineering Administrator Gas Products

Scope of Position:

Maintains various Bills of Materials (BOMs) for multiple Distributor Product Group product lines within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.  Works under the direction of the Engineering Administrator to upload and maintain product BOM information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Processes Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Release Notices (ERNs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including product drawing releases and changes to the BOMs

·         Ensures that all uploads and modifications to the BOMs maintain proper product structure

·         Audits product uploads to ensure data integrity and consistency in the ERP system

·         Checks all data referenced on engineering drawings and Assemble To Order (ATO) configurations

·         Creates and maintains Visio process maps defining engineering guidelines and procedures

·         Creates data reference spreadsheets

·         Performs other similar or related duties as requested or required

Position Requirements:

·         High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree preferred

·         Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and BOMs

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

·         Visio experience a plus

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the Product Development team

·         Attention to detail with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision

·         Working knowledge of the Friedman ERP or other ERP system preferred

·         Understanding of BOM structure within an ERP system

·         Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry experience a plus

 

Westfield, United States Manager, Reed Institute Technical Training

Scope of Position:

Coordinates the development of all training materials including: training manuals and presentations, PowerPoint presentations, hands-on labs maintenance and display materials, etc. Conduct actual training presentations for both applications and hands-on technical purposes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish schedules for training courses both at the Reed Institute and external venues
  • Coordinate training programs and schedules to meet the needs of the Sales Managers and manufacturer representative organizations
  • Work with the Business Unit personnel in identifying the most important areas of training concentration
  • Develop support material to obtain sales and training objectives
  • Uses the Reed Institute’s activities as a forum with customers in order to provide input for company product development work
  • Videotape training videos for use on social media and Mestek’s internal Sales Assistant platform
  • Maintain both the equipment and the overall appearance of the Reed Institute facility
  • Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested

 

Position Requirements:

The Manager - Reed Institute must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in a training/coordinating environment in Hydronics or general HVAC gas-fired equipment
  • Have great organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and video production

Scope of Position: 

Working under the general direction of the Engineering Manager, the role of this position is to supervise a team of service technicians and is responsible for a wide variety of duties associated with providing technical support for end users, contractors, sales representatives and internal account managers. The Technical Services Manager will also assist with development of new warranty and analysis tools for enhancing data gathering and feedback mechanisms, work to control warranty costs, supports safety and environmental initiatives and in all other ways supports the business and customer expectations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance regarding proper application, selection of options/accessories, proper installation and servicing of all Dallas based products.
  • Prioritizes and manages the activities of service technicians.
  • Works with existing marketing and product development teams to enhance team performance.
  • Direct field installation and service for all Dallas based products.
  • Provide service and maintenance training for all Dallas based products.
  • Provide technical guidance in selecting replacement parts for field service,
  • Provide price quotes for parts and services.
  • Provide technical guidance in all phases of Adaptaire DDC control system operation and installation.
  • Provide input regarding product improvement.
  • Track warranty and non-warranty component failures.
  • Review and update Installation Operation and Maintenance manuals.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage others with 5+ years supervisory experience.
  • 3 - 5 years minimum field service experience on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
  • Automated Logic control experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in refrigerant compressorized products.
  • Stronger background in gas fired products.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Familiarity with CRM software applications.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time.
