Company Information:
Mestek is a family of over 30 specialty manufacturers providing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning products, coil handling equipment and computer information systems and services.
Scope of Position:
Manage all national and OEM accounts within the Business Unit they are assigned
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
List what the person must do to perform the job to meet standards
· Responsible for day-to-day communication. Sales bulletins, product information and the Mestek Sales Assistant web-site
· Effective communicate market and product needs to the marketing and management team
· Training and supervision of national, retail, and OEM accounts for various products within the Mestek Distributor Products Group
· Work with the marketing management team in developing training tools, buying programs, marketing incentives, and advertising co-op’s for all retail, OEM, and National Accounts
· Work with the each account in implementing the marketing plans/programs and recommend adjustments or modifications to those plans as necessary to suit existing marketing conditions
· Travel to make sale calls on all these major accounts
· Obtain product knowledge to be able to handle product questions and product presentations
· Become highly knowledgeable and experienced on the following;
o The competition
o Sales representatives
o Market trends
o Customers for the products with in the Business Unit
· Must know the value of working with and through retail, OEM and National Accounts distribution in order to be successful at selling Mestek, Inc Products
· Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested
Position Requirements:
The National and OEM Accounts Manager must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:
· Four year college degree or associates degree in technical discipline
· Minimum 5 years prior sales management experience in the HVAC industry selling HVAC products through retail, wholesale, and OEM distribution (8-10 years total experience)
· Must have organizational skills, be detail oriented and understand company policies
· Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
· Must be ambitious and able to get along with others
· Ability to function under pressure and prioritize
· Must be willing to travel nationally up to 60% of the time to include trade show events, including assisting with setting up and taking down shows
