Acquired by Mestek in 1994, Aztec today provides ventilation in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings, helps meet standards for indoor air quality, and eliminates the need for ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's). The climate in 40% of the continental U.S. allows Aztec coolers to replace mechanically refrigerated cooling. In the rest of the country, Aztec coolers can provide a cost-effective boost to mechanical refrigeration.
