Responsible for the design, development, certification and maintenance of a company product or products.

  • Plans and organizes product design and development projects in accordance with Marketing/Sales specifications and company goals.  Prepares Project Authorization Requests with cost estimates, time and manpower requirements.  Works closely with a Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager or Vice President of Engineering to prepare above estimates.
  • Develops engineering data and design calculations in compliance with engineering principles, company and industry standards and codes.
  • Prepares sketches for prototypes, reviews overall design and releases drawings for prototypes.
  • Directs testing and evaluation of prototyes.  If required, arranges for witness testing by the appropriate approval agencies.  Reports test results to various other agencies or organizations such as F.T.C., GAMA, ARI, etc.

 



Job Requirements:

Four to eight years in a related field plus a degree in engineering.  In lieu of an engineering degree, eight to fifteen years of experience in the specific field.

Annual salary - $51,000 - $60,000.

Provides engineering support for the DADANCO team as well as for Company customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Boiler Group Project Engineer C Job Description:

Responsible for the engineering of boiler products in support of the Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing functions with emphasis on application, design and performance capability.

1.  Collaborates with other boiler group members in the design and development of new products and the required literature and technical documentation for these products necessary to meet market demands.

2.  Collaborates with other boiler group members in redesigning existing products to meet customer and various agency requirements.  Collaborates with other engineers and group members to resolve installation issues whenever necessary.

3.  Compiles submittal materials, schedules certification testing and oversees the certification process for new or redsigned products.

4.  Performs a wide variety of engineering duties that include various calculations, the accumulation of application and performance data and the evaluation of various components and materials.
